NOW WHERE DID I PUT MY BORDENS MILK COUPONS? When I saw the front page of todays NEWSDAY, I let loose with some serious F-bombs: METS TO FANS: PAY UP! Tickets for revamped team will cost you more It seems the biggest increase is for seats in the inner field box, which will go from $60.00 to $75.00 a ticket for Platinum games, which are Opening Day and the three Highlander games. Gold goes from $55.00 to $65.00, Silver goes from $50.00 to $60.00, Bronze goes from $45.00 to $55.00 and Value from $40.00 to $45.00. For tickets to the 42 games that fall under the value and bronze banner those ticket will drop for $12.00 to $9.00 and those are in the Upper Deck Reserve. Look its free enterprise and the Skill Sets can raise ticket as the demand will be high but my problem with raising the prices is, can you make the post season first before you up the ante on tickets? Between raising prices and Omars manic Manny chase, if the Mets dont make the post season in 06 it will get very very ugly around here.,0,7166553.story?coll=ny-sports-headlines Im starting to think that Omar has some kind of compulsive disorder when it comes to high priced talent. Enough with Manny and please forget about getting involved with Miggy Tejada. Omar needs to concentrate on whats going to be at 2nd base? Omar needs to show his skills as a GM here and find a home for KazMat and find away to get Grundzy here. I mean Mark Loretta was traded to the Sawx for a Sunday catcher in Doug Mirrabelli how come Omar never makes deals like that? How come he couldnt make a play for Loretta? Then you have the bullpen that seems to be about two pitchers short. When it comes to the big splash Omars the man and his signings last year made for a solid bench but I hope he hasnt lost his focus here with the Tejada-Rameirz swap talks.
