MEDIA MAYHEM John "Boog" Sciambi has decided not to take the Mets radio play by play job and will stay in Miami and at ESPN. So the Mets have named Tim McCarthy as the man to move into the booth with Howie Rose. McCarthy is a New Jersey native who was working on Philies telecasts. Bob Raisman also writes today about how even with the NY Football Giants marching toward the NFL playoffs and winter weather setting in the talk in the New York sports world is baseball. I love how people say that St. Louis is the best baseball city in America. Please! Those nice polite midwesteners have nothing on us opinionated big mouths from NYC when it comes to baseball. Neil Best fill us in on the goings on at SNY. Also he has a bit on Sid Rosenberg getting into hot water down in Miami. Seems Sidiot does a mid day show with ex-Dolphin O.J. McDuffie and Sid loves to talk about NY sports. McDuffie it seems is sick and tired of Sidiot and his NY Sports talk. You know any other place I'd say Sid was off the deep end talking NY sports in another city but I bet there a loads of ex-NY'ers loving it.,0,1963847.column?coll=ny-mets-print < |
