THE UNPREDICTABLE OMAR MINAYA Bengi Molina's agent Alan Nero was floored by Omar's dual bids of 3 yr/24mil to both Molina and Ramon Hernandez: {In my 25 years in this business I've never seen it before," said Alan Nero, Molina's agent. "It's nothing new for Omar, who tends to do things his way. But I respect him. He's a real smart businessman} Seems Mr. Nero was still stuned when he gave this statement: {"We haven't really started to negotiate or respond to it," he said. "We don't feel that any sense of urgency will be imposed on us by the Mets. The ball is in their court. My suspicion is that he (Minaya) has been a little bit busy. Once we respond to his proposal, it will tell us if it's a double-jeopardy approach."} What a load of crap. Where is Molina going if not to the Mets or Anaheim? It doesn't seem like Bill Stoneham is burning up the phone line to get Bengi resigned and let's face the Mets are sexy again after getting Delgado and Wagner so now if anything we own the ball, the court and the parking space's. If anything Al Nero seems to fiddling while the Bengi's millions burn. (TO POST A COMMENT PLEASE CLICK ON THE TIME OF THIS POSTING) < |
