ANOTHER SEASON WITH A NAME I CAN'T SPELL? I saw this in a story in the St.Louis Post Dispatch: {The Cardinals, meanwhile, have a vacancy at second base as free agent Mark Grudzielanek ponders proposals from several clubs. The New York Mets are a leading contender.} As fabulous as the Delgado deal and the Wagner signing have been, if this comes true it wold really boost Omar in my eyes as a GM who gets it. Grudzy is a terrific fielding 2nd base man and he is no sloutch with the bat. Last year his numbers were .294/.334/.407 with 30 doubles. How would he look in the eight hole of the Mets lineup? also in the article, former Mets shortstop and current Cards 3rd base coach Jose Oquindo will manage the Puerto Rican team in the World Baseball Classic in March. It seems I'm the only person who can't wait to watch this tournament. (TO POST A COMMENT PLEASE CLICK ON THE TIME OF THIS POSTING)
