BATS GONE COLD! Derek Lee just took Everyday Heath yard for a 4-3 Cubs win. Oh well did it really matter? Bell was in his last inning anyway and Loopy and Aybar were left in the pen so it was just a matter of time. This sucks losing 2 of 3 to the Cubs. I can't stand that tooth pick chewing manager of theirs who couldn't manager a 7-11. The Zambrano Project had one bad inning in his 6 innings of work in which he tossed 93 pitches and 56 were for strikes. The third inning was his downfall and it was typical Zambrano. He hits Jerry Hairston with a pitch then gives up a single to the offensivly challenged Henry Blanco. If that was not enough to give you agita, Zambrano then commits a balk that was so blatant all four umpires caled it in unision. Then if that was not enough fun and games, Zambrano throws a wild pitch to allow Hairston to score. So now with a runner on third with one out pitcher Mark Prior struts to the plate. Zambrano walks him. The Pitcher! THE FRIGGIN" PITCHERS HE WALKS!!!! OK fine. Zambrano gets Corey Paterson to ground out and trades a run for the out as Balnco scores. That brings up Nefi Perez. Now it's 2-2 so if Zambrano could come up big and get Perez, it's only 2-2. Am I kidding? Zambrano come up big? HA HA HA HA. Perez singles in Prior and it's 3-2 Cubs. I'll give The Zambrano Project this, he settled down after that awful 2nd and pitch ok the other 4 innings he stayed in the game. Eric Valent did the Balck Aces proud with a 2 out game tying single in the top of the 9th as the bench comes through again for the Mets. Victor Diaz had two hits and two RBI as he shows why he is in the big leagues. (to post a comment please click on the time of this post < |
