The Klapper backs me up about Willie Randolph in his column today. The players are watching Willie to see how he handles this bit of adversity and Titan Tom Glavine thinks WIllie is showing he's in total control: ["Willie is probably in as bad a position as he'd ever want to be, but he's still got that air of confidence about him," said pitcher Tom Glavine. "I mean, players are always mindful of the surroundings, especially when everyone else is going into panic mode. You hear it, you see it. "If this had been last year, [the 0-4 start] might be a different story. But everyone feels we're a good team, and Willie keeps reminding us of that."] How about that last quote? Take that Uncle Artie! < |
