"THE BIG CAT HAS NINE LIVES"
As I was listing to the lovely and talented Joe McDonald on his radio show Thursday night, NY Daily News daily tatler Adam Rubin said that Andres Galarraga would not make the Mets 25 man roster. It seems that Willie Randolph aggred as he did not give The Big Cat much chance since he may have to go with a 7 man bullpen (you might have to go double digits not that Yesshii is on the squad) But it looks like the Galarraga with the help of HoJo is making a late run to be a keeper:
[The "Big Cat" seemingly quickened his bat by working with former Met Howard Johnson, who will serve as the batting coach for the Mets' Triple-A Norfolk affiliate. Johnson noticed Galarraga's exaggerated open stance was preventing him from generating bat speed with his ample lower body.
"His shoulders are were doing all the work," Johnson said.
Since the adjustment, the bat speed and overall production have increased.]
Even though he is still a long shot I'm hoping the Cat comes North
